School Overview

The Primopuel kindergarten was established for fans who love PRiMOPUeL as if they were their own children. The Kindergarten opened on April 27th, 2002. At the time, the asobi: Ningyocho store was the main school, and Heart Flower shops around the country were branch schools.

On June 10th, the asobi: Ningyocho store closed. Instead, the Bandai Asobi Ebina store, which
opened on April 19th, 2002, temporarily became the main school of PRiMOPUeL Kindergarten and
took over its operations until the opening of the Heart no Shippo, a PRiMOPUeL standalone store
that was in the works at the time. On April 22nd, Heart no Shippo opened in Asakusa, Taito-ku, Tokyo. It replaced Bandai Asobi Ebina store and became the main school for PRiMOPUeL Kindergarten.

To promote the physical and mental development of the “children,” the kindergarten hosted annual events such as entrance ceremonies, sports days, drawing sessions, and field trips. There were no admission or tuition fees.

Enrollment required purchasing the school uniform set, filling out the enclosed application form, and either mailing it to the office or submitting it directly to the kindergarten. Once accepted, a PRiMOPUeL would be registered as a student.

2017 Graduation Certificate
  • For Puer-sized PRiMOPUeL (Puer, Teddy, Puella, Peace), there were seven groups: Panda, Tanuki, Squirrel, Rabbit, Giraffe, Penguin, and Sheep.
  • For Copuer-sized PRiMOPUeL (Kopuel, Colora, Kobol, Chocol, Corone), Cocopuel, and PRiMOPUeL not classified in the main series (Kuta Chara, Blink, Tocotoco Friends, Charm Strap, etc.), the groups were: Little Panda, Little Tanuki, Little Squirrel, Little Rabbit, Little Giraffe, Little Penguin, and Little Sheep.

Group placement was determined by how the “child” answered the questions on the enrollment form. About a month later, each newly enrolled PRiMOPUeL received a personalized badge and could then freely participate in events.

On November 6, 2016, it was announced that the kindergarten would officially close, with all students graduating together.

Heart No. Shop

Official partner toy stores had a section displaying the Primopuel series and related products, selling
limited edition products and providing after-sales care . Some stores were branch schools of the
Primopuel kindergarten, and held regular seasonal events.

The return of PRiMOPUeL and the Kindergarten

On November 9, 2013, PRiMOPUeL was rereleased as “Heart Grows! PRiMOPUeL!” This updated version featured a refreshed design with a soft, fluffy texture for a more cuddly feel and the ability to speak over 2,000 words.

The reboot also introduced the Web Primopuel kindergarten, which offered monthly classes where new conversations were taught. Students could learn across five subjects:

  • Foreign Language Class: PRiMOPUeL learned words and phrases from languages such as English and French.
  • Current Events Class: PRiMOPUeL learned news topics and interesting vocabulary.
  • Music Class: PRiMOPUeL learned seasonal songs.
  • Japanese Class: PRiMOPUeL practiced tongue twisters and stories.
  • Social Studies Class: PRiMOPUeL learned regional dialects from across Japan.

The data from these lessons was saved in the library and could be stored on the Heart Seed (an SD card). When the card was inserted into PRiMOPUeL, it allowed them to remember the information and speak about it directly.

The distribution of new voices and lessons for the WEB PRiMOPUeL Kindergarten ended in November 2017.
